Visit our Richmond Hill showroom
Richmond Hill is our home city, and that makes the showroom the easiest place to start. Choosing window coverings from a small swatch on a screen is hard. In the showroom you can open and close working shades, compare how a light-filtering fabric and a blackout fabric actually look with light behind them, and handle drapery fabrics side by side before you decide anything.
A showroom visit works well if you are still narrowing down styles, if several family members want a say, or if you are planning a whole home and want to compare options in one sitting. You can book a visit for a day and time that suits you, so someone is ready to walk you through the products when you arrive.

Window coverings for Richmond Hill condos and family homes
Richmond Hill homes vary a lot from one part of the city to the next, and the right window covering depends on the space.
Condos along Yonge Street and Highway 7
Condo suites around Yonge St and Hwy 7 often have floor-to-ceiling glass and wide window walls. These are great for views but can bring strong sun and less privacy, especially at night. Roller shades and zebra shades suit these clean, modern spaces, and blackout fabrics are a common choice for bedrooms. Many condo owners also look at motorized shades for large spans of glass that are awkward to reach.
Detached and family homes
In established family neighbourhoods you will find a wider mix of window sizes and shapes in a single house: bay windows, patio doors, two-storey family rooms and smaller bedroom windows. Here, families often combine products, such as drapery in the living room, cellular shades in bedrooms and Roman shades in a kitchen or dining area. We help you keep the look consistent from room to room.
Popular window coverings for Richmond Hill homes
- Roller shades: simple, clean lines that suit condo windows and modern interiors.
- Zebra shades: alternating sheer and solid bands that let you adjust light and privacy through the day.
- Drapery: custom panels that soften large living rooms and frame patio doors.
- Cellular shades: a honeycomb design that is a favourite for bedrooms and nurseries.
- Motorized and smart shades: open and close tall or hard-to-reach windows with a remote, app or schedule.
- Roman shades: soft, tailored fabric folds for dining rooms, kitchens and dens.

Frequently asked questions
Where is the GiantTech showroom in Richmond Hill?
Our showroom is at 1234 Reid St, Unit 9, Richmond Hill, ON L4B 1C1. You can book a visit for a day and time that suits you by calling 942-444-4268 or 647-897-2770, or by emailing [email protected].
Should I visit the showroom or book an in-home consultation?
Both are free. The showroom is ideal if you want to compare many fabrics and working samples at once. An in-home consultation is ideal if you want advice in your own light and space, and it includes measuring your windows. Many Richmond Hill customers visit the showroom first and then book measuring at home.
What window coverings work best for a condo near Yonge and Highway 7?
Condos with large window walls often suit roller shades or zebra shades for a clean look, with blackout fabric in bedrooms. For wide or hard-to-reach glass, motorized shades are worth considering. We can show you these options side by side in the showroom.
Can I mix different products in one Richmond Hill home?
Yes. Many family homes use drapery in living areas, cellular or blackout shades in bedrooms and Roman shades in the kitchen or dining room. We help you choose fabrics and colours so the whole house still feels coordinated.
Who installs the window coverings?
GiantTech's own installation team installs every order. Our products are covered by a 5-year warranty.
