We handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

Information we collect

When you request a consultation using the form on our website, we collect:

  • Your full name
  • Your phone number
  • Your email address
  • Your postal code (only when you request an in-home consultation)
  • The products you are interested in
  • Any message you choose to include (optional)

Please do not include sensitive information in the message field that we do not need to respond to your request.

Information collected automatically

Our website is a static site hosted on Cloudflare Pages. When you visit, Cloudflare may process technical information such as your IP address and request logs to deliver the site and protect it from security threats and abuse.

We do not use analytics or advertising cookies at this time. If that changes, we will update this policy before doing so.

Why we collect it

We use the information you submit through the consultation form to:

  • Respond to your request and contact you about it
  • Schedule an in-home consultation and confirm that your location is within our service area, or arrange a showroom visit
  • Prepare for your consultation based on the products you are interested in
  • Provide quotes, products and services you ask for

We collect only the information we need for these purposes and do not use it for unrelated purposes without your consent.

How we share information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. Information submitted through the consultation form is sent by email to the GiantTech sales team so they can respond to your request. We may share information with service providers that help us operate our website and email, such as our hosting and email providers, only as needed to provide those services. We may also disclose information where required by law.

Embedded videos and third-party links

Some pages include embedded YouTube videos. Where possible, we use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). YouTube may set cookies or collect information when you play a video, in accordance with Google's privacy policy.

Our website also links to third-party services, including Google Maps, Instagram and YouTube. When you follow these links, you leave our website, and the third party's own privacy policy applies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those services.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as needed to respond to your request, provide our products and services, and meet any legal or business record-keeping obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.

How we protect information

We use reasonable physical, organizational and technical safeguards to protect personal information against loss, theft and unauthorized access, use or disclosure. Access is limited to the people who need it to respond to you. Our website is served over a secure (HTTPS) connection. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information appropriately.
