Silhouette Shades (Sheer Shadings) in Richmond Hill & the GTA
Silhouette shades, also known as sheer shadings, have soft fabric vanes suspended between two layers of sheer fabric. Tilt the vanes open for glowing, filtered light and a soft view outside, or close them for privacy. They combine the look of sheer drapery with the control of a blind.

How it works
The fabric vanes work like the slats of a blind, but they are soft and float between two sheer facings. Tilting the vanes changes how much light passes through; raising the shade rolls everything neatly into the headrail.

What is the difference between silhouette shades and zebra shades?
Zebra shades use flat alternating bands on a roller. Silhouette shades have soft, three-dimensional vanes floating between two sheer layers, which gives a softer, more luxurious look.
Do silhouette shades give privacy at night?
With the vanes closed they offer good privacy. For full night privacy in bedrooms, choose room-darkening vanes.
Are silhouette shades worth it?
If you want the softness of sheers with real light control, they are one of the best options available, especially for large living room windows.
Can silhouette shades be motorized?
Yes, both tilt and lift can be motorized.
